7 Common Sleep Problems & How to Solve Them

“Many of us are so used to being tired all the time that we think that it’s the new norm. If you go to Google and type in ‘Why am I…’ do you know what is the most common autocomplete? ‘Why am I so tired?’”

– Ariana Huffington

Many of us will suffer from sleep problems at some point in our lives – some people very occasionally, and for others, more seriously. I personally have struggled with insomnia since my teens and, while I’m (mostly!) a normally functioning adult, it can be extremely stressful during particularly bad spells. One of the worst things about sleep problems is that, as Ariana Huffington alludes to, they have become the new normal. Of course, there is a big difference between a bad night’s sleep and a diagnosed sleep problem, but with each it is important to acknowledge the problem and seek advice. Casper, a matress and bedding manufacturer, aim to spread awareness on this critical issue and they are committed to designing mattresses that solve specific sleep issues, for example, using latex foam in order to sleep cool. In keeping with this, they have come up with a selection of sleep cards which identify a specific cause of poor sleep, and present a possible solution.

Especially for young working women who may be burning the candle at both ends, even minor sleep problems can take their toll. Take a look through the cards and see if any of these problems sound familiar – the suggestions might just help you get your 40 winks tonight!
