Bloggers Fashion Week: Beauty

working girl london-my beauty haul
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending The Bloggers Hub’s amazing fashion week event! It was the perfect opportunity not only to discover some new brands in the world of fashion and beauty, but also to meet some of the wonderful people behind the products. Here is a round up of the beauty brands I would like to introduce to all of you wonderful working girls – check back soon for the fashion edition!

This is not a new brand by any means but the Benefit team came to the event to show off their brow game and help us all reach the optimum level of eyebrow fleekness so they deserve a shoutout! My girl Amy Lou hooked me up with an eyebrow tint and wax, convincing me that threading is not the way forward. This American skincare brand is combining science and spa to create a range of at-home skincare which is as effective as their professional range used by dermatologists across the world. They are promoting skin fitness – ‘you look after your body by going to the gym, why not do the same with your skin?!’ – and their spring range is all about the natural look. The products promise a skin transformation with the added luxury of natural botanicals and a spa like experience. I have only used the cleanser once so cannot comment on the transformation quite yet but the product really does feell and smell like it’s straight out of the spa!
This is one for the boys! The wonderfully modest Rob Hallmark has built a cool, modern men’s grooming brand whose flagship product is a frangrance which I would describe as ‘manly yet fruity’ (not in that way!) but which Gruhme describe as ‘aromatic wood accord with top notes of juniper berry, organic black peppercorn, bergamot, lemon, lavender with a heart of patchouli and cedar on a base of oakwood, amber and musks interlaced with traces of cumin, celery seed and petitgrain’. Sure. Basically, it smells good. Perfect present for the boyf!

Lipglam is a great concept I haven’t come across before – a multi purpose moisturiser in a lip gloss tube! It can be used as; lip gloss (obviously), cuticle ointment, split end soother, lip primer, eyebrow balm, and skin moisturiser! Phew, that’s a lot in one tube.
The gorgeous Gina Akers demonstrated the power of the Magnitone daily cleansing brush, a revolutionary device which helps you to rejuvenate your skin with daily deep cleansing and exfoliation. The brush, which has the beautiful Pixie Lott as their spokesperson, has 2 cleaning modes (sensitive and deep clean), a variety of brushes (including one for your body) and a timer to aid you in your facial cleansing routine. I am trying the Lucid model (the basic) and so far, so good! Even after the very first use my skin was softer and smoother than it has been in a long time.

Cruelty-free. Vegan friendly. Gluten-free. This brand is all about being green while keeping you clean. The organic cleansing brand are so confident in the power of their products that they offer a free skin analysis in over 30 locations across the UK, using their sophisticated technology to expose the dirt and clogged pores on your face and neck (there’s no hiding from that camera!) and show you the progress as you use their products. I haven’t had the skin analysis but I’m looking forward to using my cleanser and will report back!
Do check out these brands and let me know what you think! Do you already use any of these? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
