As the weather gets moodier by the day, nothing beats a cup of tea with a couple of biscuits (yes, I’m a dunker) but as a nation of tea lovers, we often overlook another snack combo that Americans can’t get enough of: milk and cookies! This childhood favourite has been brought to the mainstream this month by Blondies Kitchen.
Their pop up in Old Street Station is serving up a variety of cookies and three types of milk; whole milk, almond milk and coco pops milk. Yes, coco pops milk. There is not much more I can say on the cookies other than that they are delicious – but I do have to give a special shout out to the peanut butter cookie. I usually find peanut butter snacks can get quite sickening but these cookies were not that sweet, which means you can eat the whole damn thing without feeling ‘bleurgh’ afterwards 👌
The cookie sandwich is also a must – two cookies sandwiched with chocolate honeycomb mousse…the pictures speak for themselves 😋
Blondies Kitchen pop up is only around until this Saturday, so if you like your cookies crunchy AND gooey (they get the balance just right) and your milk flavoured, get your skates on before they’re all gone!
The Fine Print
Blondies Kitchen is open from 7am – 7pm Monday to Saturday. Cookies start at £2.25 and milk starts at £1.50 – there are gluten free cookies and almond milk available.
